An exciting opportunity for an experienced Instructional Designer to join a large, complex government environment, contributing to the development of high-quality digital learning solutions supporting a major system rollout from 06/07/2026 to 18/06/2027.
Your new role
As an AO7 Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in developing high-quality learning solutions to support users of a major system. This includes:
- Design and deliver structured training programs (onboarding, annual, and targeted learning)
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify key knowledge gaps and system requirements
- Develop storyboards and content plans alongside subject matter experts
- Build engaging eLearning solutions using Articulate tools
- Ensure all content aligns with compliance, accessibility (WCAG), and organisational standards
- Partner with stakeholders and manage relationships to deliver effective learning outcomes
- Collaborate closely with business leads, technical experts, and end users
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development
- Strong capability in Articulate 360 (particularly Rise); Storyline experience is advantageous
- Solid understanding of web accessibility and WCAG compliance
- Experience conducting training needs analysis and translating technical requirements into learning content
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant qualifications in Adult Education, Teaching, or Cert IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded)
