We are partnered with a Federal Government organisation in Brisbane to recruit a Training Coordinator.

Your new role

This role reports to the Training Manager and leverages the expertise of the workforce planning, development, and training team to create and deliver customised training experiences. It supports the Training Manager by planning and executing the training strategy, serving as a vital link between the program and business. The focus is on developing and delivering tailored training materials and strategies that enhance capabilities and drive adoption, working closely with diverse stakeholders.

In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
  • Innovate and lead creative training strategies under the guidance of the Training Manager to support digital transformation, ensuring readiness for the new system.
  • Collaborate with the Change Team to understand business requirements and assist in delivering change and training activities according to the overall Program schedule and approach.
  • Support the evaluation and analysis of training from current state to future states to support the transition, ensuring users are fully equipped.
  • Craft engaging and fit for purpose training materials.
  • Coordinate the training schedule to support change and business adoption activities.
  • Support the delivery of training sessions, both virtually and in-person, aligning with training schedule and program needs.
  • Provide consistent reporting on training delivery, uptake, and success, validating outcomes with end users and their leaders.
Eligibility
Due to the nature of this role, to be eligible for this position applicants must: -
  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Be able to obtain a Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance and maintain a Police Check
  • Be able to sign a Political Neutrality Statement
  • Be able to provide contact details of two referees, including a current supervisor

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in the role, you should have:
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team whilst contributing positively to the achievement of the Program objectives.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the full training cycle; assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate.
  • Knowledge of how to understand and evaluate learner needs within the objective of delivering high level training and knowledge documents.
  • Experience in developing fit-for-purpose training materials, including guides, videos, and modules for diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs and initiatives.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across a diverse stakeholder group, with the ability to liaise, negotiate and represent effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to support the assessment and planning of training strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple work packages simultaneously whilst understanding dependencies and ensuring progress and quality.
  • Understanding of Agile project deliver and change management frameworks, with experience in supporting training outcomes for large-scale programs.
