Your new role
The position offers leader support on all queries relating to people, including instruments, policy, procedure, process, and legislation. This role works as part of the People Safety and Culture team to provide end to end case management, troubleshooting and process ownership.
In this temporary assignment, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide accurate HR advice to managers on their employee queries related to People and Culture policies, work procedures, processes, entitlements, and legislative instruments.
- Support leaders and HR business partners on performance improvement and conduct related matters.
- Advise on disciplinary actions considering procedural fairness, proportionality, legislative requirements, and organisational consistency.
- Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners and leaders to undertake evidence gathering.
- Conduct workplace investigations and assist with Employee Relations projects where required.
- Review and contribute to people and culture policy, work procedure and leader tools development and improvement.
- Collaborate with the monthly report with relevant data and actionable insights.
- Maintain employee relations reporting.
- Develop communications and conduct workplace training on ER related matters.
- Adhere to all the organisation's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the organisation's internal processes.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe, positive, and healthy work environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Tertiary HR, ER/IR, social sciences or business qualification and 2-3 years' experience in an ER advisor or HR advisory centre of excellence role.
- Must have a proactive nature, a sense of curiosity and a passion for good practice for this diverse role.
- Understanding of employment legislation and procedural fairness.
- Proficient in communication, interpersonal skills, and advising leaders on HR policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
