Your new company

Based in Melbourne's CBD, this state government agency plays a critical role in supporting major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Victoria. A temporary opportunity has become available as Health & Safety Risk, Compliance & Assurance Lead for 12 months to provide operational and strategic WHS and assurance support.

Your new role

• Leading and coordinating health, safety and wellbeing risk, compliance and assurance activities across projects and functions
• Designing and continuously improving assurance frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms
• Providing strategic and influential advice to senior leaders on risk profile, compliance obligations and improvement opportunities
• Monitoring and reporting on organisational safety performance, identifying trends and insights to drive continuous improvement
• Maintaining enterprise risk profiles and ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory frameworks

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience designing and leading health and safety assurance frameworks within government, construction, infrastructure and/ or big build environments
• Established knowledge of safety legislation, compliance requirements and risk-based frameworks
• Experience delivering data-driven insights, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with regulators, whilst navigating ambiguous settings
