A global engineering organisation who is a trusted provider throughout Australian and New Zealand, specialising in ensuring critical services and assets are available, affordable, and future-proof.is seeking a highly organised and experienced HR professional to join their People & Safety team on a short-term, temporary assignment from mid Jan until end March 2026
This role is crucial for providing essential support to the Corporate function HR Manager, which supports a portfolio of approximately 550 employees across various critical departments, including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Commercial, and People & Safety.
This position offers a great opportunity to utilise your Performance Management and Case Management experience while being the administrative backbone for the Corporate HR Manager. A willingness to seamlessly move between advisory work and administrative tasks is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities: HR Advisory and IR Support- Provide advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR policies, procedures, and basic employment matters.
- Assist the HR Manager with Performance Management processes, including documentation preparation, setting up meetings, and follow-up actions.
- Assist with inquiries regarding employment legislation and enterprise agreements
- Support Case Management activities, including managing documentation, taking confidential meeting minutes, and ensuring compliance and timely follow-up.
- Contribute to basic data analysis and report generation related to the corporate function portfolio.
Administration Support
- Prepare and format confidential HR documents, presentations, reports, and correspondence with high attention to detail.
- Maintain and organise electronic and physical employee files and HR records.
- Proven experience at an HR Advisor or HR Officer level, in a professional service environment
- Practical experience with performance management and employee relations/case management.
- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to hit the ground running and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the team with all levels of tasks, from strategic advisory to detailed administration.
