With a strong presence across regional and remote sites, this organisation is committed to building thriving workplace cultures that empower leaders, strengthen teams, and drive sustainable outcomes.
We are seeking an Human Resources Business Partner to provide hands-on HR support across their regional operations, as well as strategic partnering with the site-based leadership teams. The primary purpose of this role is to raise leadership capability, manage employee relations, and ensure effective workforce practices that enable operational excellence.
This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who thrives in dynamic, operationally complex environments and enjoys building trusted relationships with frontline leaders.
Responsibilities will include:
-
Partner with operational leaders to strengthen people leadership capability and embed effective workforce management practices.
-
Act as the primary human resources contact for specific sites, providing responsive and commercially aligned HR advice.
-
Lead end-to-end employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, and investigations.
-
Conduct site visits where required.
-
Analyse workforce data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights to leaders.
-
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
-
Represent human resources in operational meetings, ensuring people considerations are embedded in business decisions.
To be successful in your application, you will be tertiary qualified in Human Resources or a related specialism and have previously held an HR Business Partnering position within the mining, construction or heavy industry sectors. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate HR partnering with frontline leaders, have an understanding of a FIFO workforce, and possess a strong capability at managing end-to-end ER/IR issues. You will be an excellent communicator and coach, and have a pragmatic and commercial approach to problem-solving. An ability to travel to site sporadically is required.
