As the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting leaders, driving people initiatives, and ensuring HR practices align with contemporary standards and legislative requirements.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will operate as a strategic and technical People Partner, providing end to end HR support across a diverse range of functions. This role can either be part-time at 0.8 FTE or full time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide expert HR advice across workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, change management, culture initiatives and general HR practice.
- Manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, and issue resolution in line with legislation and company policy.
- Facilitate performance cycles including probation reviews, goal setting and development planning.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to strengthen workforce capability.
- Identify training needs, coordinate development programs and deliver training sessions focused on compliance, risk mitigation and best practice.
- Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with operational goals.
- Support organisational change and provide guidance during transitions.
- Lead and contribute to employee engagement and culture building programs.
- Analyse HR metrics and prepare insights to support data-driven decision-making.
- Assist with WGEA reporting, people audits, and compliance activities.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures and templates.
- Prepare HR documentation including contracts, change letters and separation paperwork.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant Human Resources tertiary qualification.
- Strong consulting, influencing and facilitation skills.
- Expert understanding of contemporary HR policies, processes and best practice.
- Up to date knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of professionalism and service orientation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and advice.
