Generalist HR Business Partner with strong union liaison required for Head Office role in Perth CBD.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a respected, publicly listed organisation headquartered in the Perth CBD. As a medium‑sized business with a strong operational footprint and a clear strategic direction, the company is seeking a capable HR professional who thrives on partnering with leaders, building strong working union relationships, and shaping a high performance culture.
Reporting to the Human Resources & Industrial Relations Manager, this role is pivotal in delivering high-quality HR services to a predominantly blue-collar workforce. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and broader business strategy. With a strong focus on supporting the HR strategy, business-as-usual, generalist human resources and project-based initiatives, to assist in the empowerment of leaders and employees to achieve their best.
This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role that requires confidence, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence at all levels.
Key responsibilities include:

Contribute to the development and execution of the HR Strategic Plan.

Develop, implement, and maintain best‑practice HR policies and procedures.

Lead an effective end‑to‑end HR operations service culture.

Deliver high‑quality business partnering, coaching, and change management support.

Partner with business leaders to enhance culture, engagement, and performance.

Prepare business cases and project plans for HR initiatives.

Lead and implement HR projects aligned with strategic and operational needs.

Support negotiation of industrial tools and union liaison
We are seeking a Qualified HR Business Partner with prior exposure to operational-based, blue-collar businesses who can demonstrate proven experience in the provision of generalist HR and union liaison. You will be a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a true business partnering role and providing operational and strategic-based input. You will be a proactive team member, sharing your knowledge and providing insights about business process improvements and process efficacies. It is essential that you have a comprehensive working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards for Australia.
