HR Business Partner, 2-year fixed-term contract, based in Sydney CBD up to 150k plus super
Your new company
We're seeking an experienced People Partner to join a high-performing People & Culture team, supporting a diverse and complex portfolio within a large, dynamic organisation. This role plays a key part in enabling leaders to effectively manage people's matters with confidence, consistency, and care. This is a two-year fixed-term contract with 2 days on site in Sydney CBD.
As a trusted advisor, you'll provide strategic and operational HR support across the full employee life cycle, with a particular focus on complex casework, leadership capability, and organisational change initiatives.
Your new role

Provide practical, solutions-focused HR advice across recruitment, onboarding, performance, conduct, and employee exits

Lead and manage complex employee relations matters (including performance, conduct, and grievances) with professionalism and sound judgement.

Partner closely with senior leaders to navigate people challenges and build leadership capability

Support and implement workforce planning, organisational change, and people initiatives

Act as a senior escalation point for complex matters and coach junior HR team members

Collaborate across HR functions to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment to business priorities.

Interpret workforce data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement

Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across varied business areas
What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in a senior HR/business partnering role within a complex environment

Strong employee relations expertise, with the ability to manage sensitive and high-risk matters

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

Sound knowledge of HR frameworks, policies, and employment legislation

A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset
-
Experience coaching leaders and supporting capability uplift within teams.

Comfortable working across both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational priorities
