Are you a proactive, high-energy HR professional ready to step into a true business partner role? We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Generalist to join a construction company in Western Australia. This dynamic, fast-paced position requires someone who can seamlessly blend strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational support, particularly within the challenging environment of construction projects. You will be pivotal in partnering with leadership to foster a high-performance culture, manage employee relations, and spearhead digital P&C transformation.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations (ER): Serve as the subject matter expert for ER issues, including effective dispute resolution, grievance management, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Safety & Compliance Oversight: Uphold the highest standards of P&C governance. Ensure absolute compliance with Australian employment law (Fair Work Act, WHS, Equal Opportunity), with a crucial, proactive focus on monitoring and improving Psycho social Safety and mitigating workplace stress.
  • Strategic Workforce Management: Lead the end-to-end talent acquisition process and drive strategic workforce planning to ensure expert staffing levels for all project requirements.
  • Digital Transformation: Collaborate with the IT function to optimise the HRIS and streamline P&C processes through digital solutions.
  • Compensation & Benchmarking: Conduct salary benchmarking and manage equitable remuneration reviews, with specific knowledge of the marine industry.

What We Are Looking For:

  • HR Expertise: A proven history as a HR Generalist including managing employee relations and successfully implementing strategic P&C initiatives. Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices is essential.
  • Industry Preference: Experience in Construction or heavy industrial sectors is highly advantageous, demonstrating an understanding of unique logistical and industrial relations challenges.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft 365 and various HRIS platforms.
  • Exceptional People Skills: High emotional intelligence, empathy, and demonstrated capability to influence and effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the business.
