You will be joining a dynamic business within a blue-collar sector. This company is based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and the position will be based full time in their offices.
Your new role
As an HR Generalist, you will act as the business' local business partner and you'll play a crucial role in enhancing HR functions for an organisation with fewer than 100 employees in Australia. This position involves recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, policy implementation, and ensuring HR compliance. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, promoting a positive work environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handle various HR tasks, including administrative duties, employee relations, and compensation & benefits.
- Manage labour and employee relations activities, ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Maintain accurate records and databases.
- Coordinate recruitment processes, from job descriptions to onboarding.
- Implement procedures to improve efficiency and support global HR projects.
- Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives and policies.
- Manage staff information and prepare HR reports.
What you'll need to succeed
Your Australian experience in HR within a global company, preferably in a standalone or HRBP role will be essential, as well as:
- HR experience, with knowledge of local labour laws.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Collaborative and professional approach.
- Ability to foster a positive culture and team spirit, and work full-time in the office.
- Effective communicator and problem solver.
