An ASX-listed mining contractor requires an experienced HR Manager to join their WA Head Office
Our client is a forward-thinking ASX-listed mining contractor who pride themselves on their branding, service delivery and employee value proposition.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Manager is instrumental in driving HR strategy whilst maintaining effective HR operations.
Leading a large team of specialist and generalist HR practitioners with both site and corporate responsibility who contribute towards a positive workplace culture based on respect, safety, and high productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Design, development and implementation of HR strategies to support the overarching organisational objectives
- Ensuring all HR activities comply with corporate governance and legislative requirements
- Management of the ER/IR strategy including enterprise agreement negotiation and liaison with senior leadership stakeholders to ensure cohesion and collaboration
- Lead systems integration and enhancements through the subject-matter experts
- Provision of coaching and development to the team where required and identification of skills gaps and training analysis
- Management of the annual cyclical activities, including the employee engagement survey, remuneration review, performance review and talent management
- Management of the payroll team
- Contribute to the organisation wide continuous and business process improvement initiatives
- Ad hoc projects
This position would suit an individual who has previous HR managerial capability from within a medium to large sized organisation within the heavy industrial, construction or mining and resources sectors, coupled with ER/IR expertise. It is essential that you have a consolidated career history within human resources and can demonstrate a strong background of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams. A working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards for Australia is required.
You will possess the ability to work within an agile environment where you can respond proactively to changes by providing pragmatic solutions through the presentation of qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting. It would be preferred if you have prior experience of large scale ERP systems but proficiency in technology and automation is a must. You will be committed to pursuing excellence and be confident in your ability to influence at a senior level and deliver best practice.
