We are partnered with a Not-for-Profit in Kangaroo Point to recruit an Injury Management Advisor on a temporary basis.

Your new role

In this temporary assignment, some of your key responsibilities include:
Client Services
  • Manage cases and return-to-work plans for injured employees.
  • Advise and train staff on rehab and return-to-work processes.
  • Liaise with WorkCover QLD on claims, strategies, and premiums.
  • Contribute to HR policy and rehabilitation improvements.
  • Support development of the Health & Safety Management System.
  • Prepare reports and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality service to internal and external clients.
Administration & Documentation
  • Assist Manager - Health & Safety with organisational rehab oversight.
  • Maintain HRIS and safety reporting systems.
  • Monitor and report on incidents and injury trends.
  • Deliver injury prevention education.
  • Streamline workflows through system and team collaboration.
  • Support projects related to rehab and safety.
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to the organisation's policies and professional standards.
  • Comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
Health & Safety
  • Follow WHS and environmental procedures.
  • Use PPE, lifting equipment, and assistive devices as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of injury management and health & safety strategies in a Health and Human Services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with and knowledge of workers' compensation and WHS legislation and standards.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Workplace Rehabilitation or studying towards and/or relevant experience are desirable.
  • Demonstrated injury case management experience and the ability to apply underlying principles of workplace rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communication and work effectively with a broad range of people with varying skill levels and experience (e.g. clients, employees, senior management, other health professional and representatives of the Government).
