Experienced People & Culture Manager required by large national employer
Reporting to the General Manager for WA, you will be responsible for the provision of all generalist human resources activities for the state alongside a small local team, and additional assistance from the national shared services.
Engaging with the local senior leadership and management teams providing strategic support to ensure the engagement and retention of top talent, workforce planning and management, succession planning and corporate governance and risk mitigation related to the industrial tools and industrial relations framework. Alongside the National Safety Officer, you will also be responsible for managing safety. The model of management is based upon accountability, where you will coach and develop the team in all aspects of employee relations, performance management, performance review, implementation of new policies, procedures and processes.
This position will be based North of the River but will require regular travel to metro sites and a driver's license is essential.
To be successful in your application, you will possess prior experience of working within a large, reactive business ideally within the facilities management, hospitality or retail sectors. A working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards is essential, coupled with the Work Health and Safety Act. You will have previously managed small human resources teams, and you must be able to demonstrate your ability to partner at a senior level within the business influencing best practice and proactively coaching and developing line management to enhance productivity and retention.
The role will offer a base salary and car allowance.
