It is the passion, endless pursuit of excellence and total customer satisfaction that sets Freshline apart as an organisation.

Your new role

Join Freshline Tasmania, a growing organisation, in the newly created position as People & Culture Manager. This is a full time, permanent position that is based in Launceston (open to Hobart based candidates as well). Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, the People & Culture Manager position requires an experienced and proactive HR Professional to join the Senior Leadership team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support across the organisation while taking ownership of the P&C function from a strategic and operational perspective. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of HR practices, and the ability to analyse data to drive informed HR decisions.

As well as the above, you will also ensure compliance with legislative requirements and have the ability to promote a high-performing organisational culture. Your expertise will contribute to the recruitment, development, and engagement of a talented workforce, fostering an environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and employee well-being. This position requires a hands on approach and is a key member of the senior leadership team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven Business Partnering level or Management level experience within Human Resources. You are someone who enjoys identifying, developing and then implementing strong processes, procedures and systems. You'll have knowledge and practical application of contemporary HR practices and strategies. Regardless of whether you have or haven't had direct experience leading a team, you'll have excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills which will enable you to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders across the business.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are important in this role. The organisation is looking for individuals who are self-motivated, accountable, and reliable. Your commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture will be highly valued.

Essential Requirements

You will hold a current Degree, Diploma or Formal Qualification in Human Resources. Although this role is based in Launceston, Freshline is open to review candidates based in Hobart as well. It is also essential to hold a current, full drivers license and have the ability to travel on a weekly basis to have presence within both Launceston and Hobart Freshline locations.

You will also possess previous exposure to business operations, ensuring a commercial mindset when addressing the people and culture function. And lastly, you will have experience identifying, developing, implementing, and reviewing existing systems which support the end-to-end employee lifecycle (human resource management systems), and new systems where there are opportunities to streamline and create efficiency across the organisation.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity for a People & Culture Manager or Human Resources Business Partner to step up and into a management level role while remaining hands on to successfully lead the overall People function.
