Your new company

Working for a for-purpose Environmental consultancy in Sydney, supporting expansion and ambitious growth plans. Building an HR function, this is a varied and busy Greenfield role reporting to the Head of Operations with a project based workforce.

Your new role

  • You will design and deliver on people programs and processes for the organisation of 150 + employees
  • Implementation and integration of a new HRIS system
  • Design and rollout capability and performance frameworks, as well as performance reviews
  • Lead and support employee relations, advising business leaders and employees on fairwork, employment law
  • Manage workplace investigations, performance management and grievances
  • Develop, review, and maintain HR policies, frameworks, and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and best practice.
  • Onboarding and offboarding processes
  • WHS management, developing best practice safety processes, supervising workcover issues and wellbeing initiatives
  • Enhancing talent attraction strategies, implementing recruitment processes, EVP
  • Culture and engagement project and initiatives
  • Leadership coaching and leadership development
  • Partnering with the ELT to advise on people strategies and supporting business growth

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will be an experienced HR Manager, People & Culture Manager, who has worked in smaller businesses, SME environments with a headcount of 100 - 300 employees
  • You will have worked in aligned industries such as environmental, agriculture, horticulture, engineering and project based businesses
  • Greenfield/startup experience is essential with a track record of building HR functions and HR processes from scratch
  • You will be hands on, enjoying being at the coalface of a business and be able to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved
  • Project experience needed includes HRIS implementation and system/process improvements
  • Have worked with an ELT/SLT previously advising a Founder or Business Owner
