As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you'll play a key role in supporting the organisation through this period of growth and transformation, helping leaders and employees navigate change while contributing to workforce strategy, culture and organisational success. Your new role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the People & Culture Manager will lead the people function across the organisation and provide strategic and operational leadership across human resources, employee relations, recruitment, work health and safety, performance management and organisational culture. The role also includes leadership responsibility for a People Advisor and forms part of the Executive Leadership Team and attends Board meetings.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading recruitment, attraction and retention initiatives
- Promoting a child-safe organisational culture, ensuring people practices align with Adventure Patch's commitment to safeguarding children and young people
- Providing expert advice across employee relations, investigations and performance management
- Supporting enterprise agreement negotiations and industrial relations matters
- Overseeing work health and safety systems, workers compensation and risk management
- Responsible for workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development initiatives
- Leading organisational change projects
- Supporting leaders to build capability, engagement and a positive organisational culture
- Developing and maintaining people and culture policies, frameworks and reporting processes
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR professional with strong generalist capability across employee relations, industrial relations, recruitment and leadership support. You will be confident working in a complex, highly compliant environment and comfortable providing advice to senior leaders on both strategic and operational matters. Applications are encouraged from experienced Human Resources Business Partners who are ready to take the next step into their first people leadership role, as well as established People & Culture leaders looking for a new challenge.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner or in a similar senior HR role
- Strong employee relations and industrial relations experience
- Knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
- Exposure to work health and safety, risk management and compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting organisational change initiatives
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
