We are pleased to announce a newly created 12-month contract position with one of our esteemed professional service clients, located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD. This role offers a unique opportunity for a strategic Human Resources professional to make a significant impact.
The Principal HR Advisor partners with the Director of Business Services, Executive Director of Operations, and the Executive Team to architect and sustain systems that drive a high-performing workforce.
This role provides strategic counsel and actively engages in performance and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage extensive HR expertise to lead critical and strategic initiatives.
- Strategically engage with stakeholders and employees to implement cohesive structures and optimise outcomes.
- Collaborate with department managers to enhance leadership effectiveness, resolve conflicts, and manage performance.
- Deliver both general and strategic HR guidance, including interpreting the PS Act, Regulations, and relevant industrial instruments.
- Oversee HR operational processes such as staff and executive recruitment, and establish strategic policies and objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
As a natural leader, you will bring extensive experience in providing hands-on, practical advice and coaching to managers on people management practices. Your strategic thinking, combined with your planning and negotiation skills, will be pivotal in influencing key business outcomes.
You will excel under pressure, responding swiftly to complex requests with strong analytical skills to identify, analyse, and resolve intricate problems and issues effectively.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resource management or a related discipline are essential, additionally a sound understanding of the public sector HR industrial system is advantageous.
