We are partnered with a profit-for-purpose organisation in Brisbane to recruit a Quality WHS & Risk Lead.
Your new role
The Quality, WH&S Risk Lead will coordinate and maintain a comprehensive Quality Framework, oversee risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct audits, and lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency while fostering collaboration to implement high-quality, evidence-based practices.
In this role, some of your key accountabilities will include:
- Compliance with Workplace, Health, and Safety legislation across the organisation.
- The maintenance of ISO9001 accreditation.
- Monthly reporting on risk, safety, and quality statistics.
- The completion of internal audits in alignment with the schedule.
- Incident data analysed resulting in the identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate in leading change to ensure internal and external recommendations are implemented and evaluated in a timely manner.
- Workplace, Health, and Safety meetings are held, and recommendations are implemented in a timely manner.
- The risk register is maintained.
- Management of incident lifecycle from detection to resolution.
- Policies are reviewed and implemented in accordance with the schedule.
- Working knowledge embedded in the organisation in quality, safety, and risk management.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or significant experience in WH&S, Quality Management and Risk Management.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation, ISO 9001 and risk management principles and ability to maintain current extensive knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Proven knowledge and technical skills in risk management framework and processes.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and critical thinking to analyse incidents and determine solutions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders to ensure desired outcomes are met.
- Experience with risk and incident management tools and methodologies.
