HR Partners by Randstad has an opportunity for a Recruitment Officer to join our government client site in Brisbane's South. This is a short term role, supporting with all aspects of recruitment. The role is due to our client having a large recruitment drive. Be part of a great team and culture and support their hiring efforts. Start date for this role is 26/02/25-4/4/25.

About the role:
  • Work collaboratively with People and Culture team to coordinate and support pre-recruitment and recruitment processes.
  • Drafting and submitting job advertisements and new starter appointments
  • Working closely with hiring managers to support their recruitment process (i.e., phone screening, schedule and coordinate interviews, attend interviews, draft selection reports)
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-employment checks and onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Support the People and Culture team by offering sound HR advice and guidance to the business in respect to the interpretation of relevant legislation, directives, policies, procedures, departmental processes.
  • Support the People and Culture team to liaise and consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of People and Culture services, managing conflicting priorities within tight timeframes, resolving issues and ensuring outcomes are agile and respectful of high-performance environments.
  • Continually develop and maintain a professional knowledge and understanding of DTS HR policies, procedures and guidelines and a sound knowledge of (i.e. awards, certified agreements), to ensure accurate HR advice and guidance is provided to our leaders.
About the individual:
  • Experience assisting with government recruitment processes
  • Experience in a recruitment or recruitment support position
  • Strong active listening skills to understand diverse perspectives and respond appropriately to team members' concerns and suggestions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing documentation and processing information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide high-quality support and service to internal and external stakeholders
