We are partnered with a Local Government Organisation in Brisbane to recruit a Rehabilitation Consultant.
Your new role
Join Australia's largest local government Organisation as a rehabilitation consultant, providing proficient services to support employees' recovery and return to work. Your role will ensure compliance with Workers Compensation Legislation and identifying and addressing risks that could impact employees' successful return to work. This temporary position involves:
- Ensuring a safe return to work for employees, providing services to determine the best path to recovery and returning to work.
- Conducting job analysis, initial workplace rehabilitation assessments and assessing the capacity of the employee
- Creating suitable rehabilitation, return to work and suitable duties plans
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Preparing reports and required documentation
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualification in an allied health related discipline or rehabilitation
- Minimum 2 years demonstratable experience in workplace rehabilitation case management or injury management
- Knowledge of Queensland Workers Compensation Legislation
- Extensive practical experience in occupational rehabilitation case management practice and familiarity of a self-insurance environment
- Ability to research and identify trends, patterns and issues, and ability to effectively develop a range of strategic rehabilitation responses in a business environment to achieve Zero Harm outcomes
- Experience and ability to develop positive collaborative working relationships with clients, peers, and team members
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordination of occupational rehabilitation case management
