Your new company

This State Government Department are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join their team immediately on a temporary basis to support their mission in providing a safe environment for the community!

Your new role

In your new role you will effectively support the Director of HR in the implementation of Human Resource initiatives in the relevant business units whilst undertaking consistent and integrated business partnering activities. Through providing your expertise and timely HR advice across dedicated business areas, this will ensure you provide a partnership approach in the achievement of all key people and deliverables.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Provide expert specialist advice and consultation on HR/ER/IR matters in a timely and effective manner
    • Act as a partner to customer groups and employees by providing an efficient, integrated and consistent service.
    • Provide expert advice and support during culture and engagement related initiatives
    • Build trusted relationships with all stakeholders and departments across this organisation
    • Employee relations - advice, consultation to support Dept Heads resolve employee related issues, educate, and promote workplace improvements
    • Coordinate and organise with line managers probation reviews / annual reviews
    • Responsible for the internal end-to-end recruitment, coordinating with line managers on performance management - record keeping.
    • Maintain and assess the work health safety manual, procedures, risk assessments and business compliance ensuring the business remains compliant and up to date
    • Build and enhance people capability and support the implementation of HR strategy and policy.
    • Organise and participate in biannual internal audits with published results to the team

What you'll need to succeed

We are seeking a natural leader who can guide and educate managers and key stakeholders in all People & Culture policies and processes. You will partner with the business to resolve employee relations disputes and identify potential people issues before they arise ensuring your people are well supported and engaged. Having a proven track record of designing impactful end to end talent related initiatives will see you make a strong impact.
