Your new role
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, manage, and support a team of HR generalists in delivering day-to-day services and operational outcomes.
- Oversee the Licensing and Onboarding team to ensure consistent adherence to screening and onboarding processes, and accurate issuance of employment documentation (e.g., contracts, flexible work agreements, new starter information).
- Manage complex workplace matters including grievances, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Prepare accurate, timely reports for audits, executive briefings, and trend analysis.
- Mentor team members and support their ongoing skill development.
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to change initiatives.
- Design and deliver training for people managers on topics such as performance management, complaint handling, and leadership.
- Review and update policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance.
- Provide expert advice on industrial matters, including Modern Award entitlements and legislative changes.
- Coordinate and implement projects as directed by the Executive Manager, People and Culture.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Strong demonstrated experience working in Industrial Relations.
- Previous experience managing complex workplace matters including grievances, performance issues, disciplinary actions, and investigations
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a NFP is desirable.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced role.
