Permanent People & Culture Manager position with a well-known global organisation.
Hays has partnered with a leading organisation within the industrial sector is seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager. This role is to partner with operational leaders across Queensland and drive key people initiatives across a large, workforce-driven environment.

This is a great opportunity to join a complex and fast-paced business where you will play a key role in workforce strategy, talent development, change management and operational HR delivery. Reporting to the People & Culture Director, you will partner closely with leaders while leading a small team and supporting a diverse workforce.
In this broad business partnering position, you will:

Partner with operational leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR outcomes.

Provide expert advice across employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.

Lead and support organisational change initiatives.

Coach and develop leaders on people management best practice.

Support workforce capability, retention and succession planning activities.

Partner with specialist teams across recruitment, learning and development, and industrial relations.

Manage investigations, performance matters and employee relations issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across people processes and systems.

Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across operations, leadership teams and workforce representatives.
What you'll need to succeed

Significant experience in a People & Culture Manager, HR Business Partner or senior HR leadership position.

Demonstrated experience partnering with operational and frontline workforces.

Strong employee and industrial relations capability.

Experience working within unionised and blue-collar environments.

Proven ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders.
-
Strong HR systems knowledge and experience driving process improvement.

Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
