The Role
As the Senior HR Business Partner in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide high level HR consultancy advice, services and support to a portfolio of internal customers and contribute to Group-Wide HR initiatives, policies, programs and projects that align to HR plans and corporate strategy. The Senior HR BP collaborates, supports and at times leads across the HR team to ensure effective HR service delivery and the achievement of HR and business outcomes.
- Provide advice and guidance to Line Managers to ensure they understand all Patties people policy requirements including recruitment and selection, performance management, employment conditions and employee development.
- Provide an effective and efficient HR service to PFPL. Playing a key role in coordinating and improving HR process that support the business, including recruitment, position management, classification evaluation, workforce planning and HR reporting.
- Assist and support specific HR projects as agreed with the Human Resources Manager and provide formalised project reports and updates as required.

- Manage the review, implementation and communication of new and existing HR policies and procedures.
- Works with HRM to ensure that any HR components of operational plans of business functions are aligned with the HR objectives of the company.
- Lead and co-ordinate the onsite injury management and return to work function.
- Actively assist manufacturing and site-based functions in the achievement of targets on a day-to-day basis.
- Contribute to the development of tools to support managers including forms, templates and guides, and for disseminating information to staff and managers in their use.
- Contribute to Group-wide HR projects.
- Work with the business functions to help develop Position Descriptions and KPI's for staff and regularly measuring staff performance against these.
- Coach and advise managers and supervisors to enable them to effectively manage their teams, improve performance management and organisational culture.
- Work in partnership with the HRM and Site Leadership Team to identify, develop and implement change management/organisational development initiatives that will enable improved business performance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in site and operational HR functions, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships and display a consultative and collaborative working style. To be successful in this role you will have;
- Full-time on site
- Proven experience in a similar role a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Strong ER/IR skills, ideally gained in FMCG and/or Manufacturing environments.
- Business Degree in HR or any other related discipline.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of self-awareness and willingness to learn from feedback and constructive criticism.
- Approachable and strong listening skills.
- Problem solver, flexible, able to adapt to new ways of working.
- Comfortable acting as a “coach” to Line Managers and staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
- Previous experience supporting and co-ordinating return to work/injury management preferred.
