Senior HR Business Partner/IR Specialist role based in northern Sydney

Your new company

Hays is currently partnering with a renowned health care organisation to recruit for a new permanent position. This organisation is a healthcare leader and is seeking a senior HR BP to join their team. This role will be based in northern Sydney and can be flex on salary. This role will require you to be in the office 3 days per week.

Your new role

  • Offer HR guidance and support to senior and functional managers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.
  • Assist business leaders in negotiating enterprise Agreements in line with industrial relations strategies.
  • Ensure correct interpretation and implementation of EA rules by management and payroll teams.
  • Guide managers and the P&C team on handling workplace disputes and litigation.
  • Implement and support corporate HR initiatives as per the strategic HR plan.
  • Represent HR in various management and leadership meetings.
  • Provide HR support during business transitions or acquisitions.
  • Conduct or coordinate internal investigations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Guide managers and the P&C team on handling workplace disputes and litigation.
  • Represent the company in Fair Work disputes and conciliation meetings.
  • Manage complex legal matters cost-effectively with external law firms.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Australian employment law and experience in negotiating enterprise agreements.
  • Have generalist HR experience with strong case management and litigation participation.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibit exceptional project management skills.
