You will be working for a large, complex, state government agency based in Sydney CBD.

Your new role

The Senior Manager, People & Culture Business Partnering, drives and leads people initiatives and ensures the management of human resources across the allocated directorate is effectively linked to deliver strategic and business plans and organisational objectives.
The role works constructively with the business to develop a highly engaged and productive workforce through successful workforce planning, leadership and capability development and sound and appropriate workforce behaviour and management standards. The role works in a collaborative way across the organisation to collate, analyse, develop, implement and review HR information, policies, programs and strategies to best meet the requirements of the organisation of today and the future.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related discipline or extensive, relevant equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR business partnering role, ideally at a strategic or executive level.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Preferred/Highly Regarded:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a senior-level HR or business partnering role is strongly preferred, given the complexity and strategic focus of the position.
  • Experience working within a government or public sector environment is highly desirable, particularly due to the need to navigate industrial relations frameworks, policy, and compliance considerations unique to the sector.
